Next week is HOMECOMING WEEK!

Just to keep you all up to date, we want to remind you we have a very full week next week (10/1).

The weekly rehearsal is on TUESDAY night, (10/2) so we can host our friends from the Junior High music program.  This rehearsal runs from 6 pm to 8:30.

Thursday afternoon we are marching in the homecoming parade, and Friday night is our homecoming football game versus Lisle.  If you are free that night, we have something very special in store for you...perhaps a little different than what you have seen from The Sentinel Marching Band in the past, so make plans to join us.

Reminder - No rehearsal tonight!

There is NO rehearsal tonight, 9/26/2012.  Our next out of school rehearsal will be on Tuesday, October 2nd.  This rehearsal runs from 6:00 pm to 8:30 pm.  Please be on time as our friends from the Junior High will be joining us to prepare for homecoming!  Please be sure to check the calendar on our blog for up to date information on the upcoming schedule.

Jazz Master Classes on Wednesday Mornings!

Just a reminder to all students....the jazz master classes are open to all instrumental and vocal students who want to learn more about improvisation, style, etc in the jazz idiom!  We meet at 7 AM in the band room.  Come on in door #20 and join us!

Playin' in the Rain

The Sentinel Marching Band toughed out a rain-filled first half, and performed their full show from the track during halftime.  While heading inside to protect instruments and the uniforms before the end of the game, the band had an effect, causing a first half offsides call on Reed-Custer's offense and watched the home team take a 15-7 lead before the break.

The band returns to the field in two weeks for homecoming where we will be joined by our friends from the Junior High School Marching Band!

Call time tonight - 5:15, Rain or Shine!

We are meeting in the band room at 5:15 tonight, Friday, 9/21 for rehearsal before the football game.  Keep your fingers crossed the weather holds out!
